The BoCats
are a remarkably talented musical trio hailing from Jacksonville, Florida.  Their goal is to provide top-notch musical entertainment for your next event.  Rick Grant, editor-in-chief and music critic of the Southeast Entertainer magazine, described the act as "a taut musical machine.... This group cooks with a bodacious classy sound."  They have successfully performed at venues which usually only feature larger acts.

FunSonFun2The BoCats truly enjoy making music and strive to make sure that their audiences have as much fun as they do themselves.  Their eclectic playlist includes over 200 songs drawn from over six decades of popular music history.  And, if you're interested, they'll throw in a few of their own compositions.  The group always tailors each performance to that audience's preference for style of music.  In addition to their amazing versatility, they are known for excellent lead and harmony vocal work, as well as for their first rate instrumental proficiency.

Bobby McDowell is the band's guitarist and sings lead & harmony vocals.

Sondra Lacy is the keyboard player, plays left-hand keyboard bass and sings lead & harmony vocals.

Gil Linares
is the group's drummer and sings lead & harmony vocals.

Big room at The Hideaway

All three band members are accomplished, well-seasoned musician/singer/songwriters whose performances reflect a wealth of experience from virtually every phase of the music business.  A few of their many influences include Steely Dan, The Beatles, Todd Rundgren, Utopia, Jethro Tull, Rosemary Clooney, Jimi Hendrix, Joni Mitchell, The Band, The Grateful Dead and anything recorded at Stax Records.

From small nightclubs to concert stages, from country club receptions to raucous roadhouses, from backyard parties to ocean going cruise ships, from television appearances to studio session work; The BoCats have done it all -- and done it with skill, style and a sense of fun.

The BoCats
are fully equipped with their own professional sound and lighting equipment.  Or, for larger venues with in-house sound and lighting crews and systems, they will provide just the back line.  If your event requires a larger group, they can add extra personnel, such as a saxophonist, percussionist, singers, etc.

The BoCats are available for booking at your next event, occasion, party, concert, function, prom, get-together, festival, reception, fund raiser, class reunion, grand ball, barbeque or just about any other excuse you might think of to have a good time.
